Permanent Eyeliner by Brows in Grace Permanent Makeup

What Is Permanent Eyeliner?

Also known as an eyeliner tattoo, permanent eyeliner is a semi-permanent makeup treatment that replaces the need to wear eyeliner each day. Permanent eyeliner is a method of placing pigment along the lash line, embedding it just below the upper layer of skin. Compared to a traditional tattoo, the pigment is not embedded as deeply, and therefore it will completely fade with time (one to two years). Typically, our clients like to come in once per year to refresh their permanent eyeliner.

Your Visit.

Permanent eyeliner can be applied in a variety of styles, from extremely thin and natural-looking liner to covering the entire eyelid, and even winged eyeliner. A typical visit starts with a treatment design session where we examine your skin tone and complexion, agree on the color and shape, and sketch the shape using non-permanent ink. Once everything is perfect, we apply a topical numbing agent and begin the procedure. During the pigment application, our clients like to listen to music of their choice and to relax.

After the initial treatment, we ask our clients to follow our post-treatment care instructions and to return in three to four weeks for a touch-up treatment, during which we may add additional pigment and color to ensure long-lasting results.

Eyeliner Tattoo vs. Lash Line Enhancement

If a permanent eyeliner tattoo is not your thing but you still want the benefit of having an enhanced lash line, we offer another semi-permanent treatment called lash line enhancement that you may want to consider as an alternative. The application process is extremely similar, but the result is more subtle.

We are happy to work with you to develop the shape and color that give you your favorite fabulous permanent eyeliner look.
